Hole 2 is one of the few slightly uphill holes on the Course and as a par five is a good length for this terrain. The drive is protected on the left at the dogleg commencing the uphill stage of the hole by a large bunker. The second shot is very interesting as it is the first time on the course that the golfer comes across the dry stone walls, a feature of the Sunshine course. There is a 20 metre opening in the wall which runs across the hole about 100 metres from the drive landing zone. This is one par five that needs a straight second shot or you may find yourself hitting over a stone wall. Although the diagram shows the bunker left of the green, it has been relocated to approximately 50 metres short of the green on the left hand side of the fairway. The green has no bunkers. |
